Abstract:To explore the effects of different coverage measures on the yield and quality of wine grapes under drip irrigation conditions. The 7-year-old wine grape ″Cabernet Sauvignon″ was used as the test material to carry out field trials experiment was carried out in the Hongsipu District of Ningxia. Three mulching measures were set up in the experiment: straw mulching, plastic film mulching and no mulching(CK)to study the effects of different mulching measures on soil moisture content, wine grape growth, yield and quality in the vineyard area. The results showed that the straw mulching treatment showed the best water retention effect, and its soil moisture content was increased by 12.96% compared with CK(P<0.05). The straw mulching treatment had the highest plant height and new shoot growth, reaching 175.45 cm and 89.64 cm, respectively, which were significantly higher than those of film mulching and CK(P<0.05). Compared with plastic film mulching and CK, the highest plant height and new shoot growth of straw mulching increased by 6.09%(P<0.05)and 14.47%(P<0.01), respectively. The single grain weight and yield of straw mulching treatment were the highest, reaching 5.59 g and 5.32 t/hm2, respectively. It increased by 7.29%(P<0.05), 12.70%(P<0.05)and 5.35%(P<0.05), 26.07%(P<0.05), respectively, compared with plastic film mulching and CK. The contents of soluble solids, titratable acids, soluble sugars, anthocyanins, total phenols, and VC in straw mulching treatment were increased by 20.06%(P<0.05), 5.79%(P<0.05), 16.39%(P<0.05), 6.98%(P<0.05), 6.35%(P<0.05)and 14.98%(P<0.05), respectively, when compared with CK. The straw mulching treatment had the best effect on soil water retention, with the highest single-grain weight and yield, and could significantly improve the grape fruit quality.
