| The difficulties and countermeasures of the academic departments′ internationalization in China′s universities |

Abstract It is the tendency of deep development of university internationalization under the background of excellent university building. Academic departments′ internationalization is vital for the university internationalization because of the university′s heavy bottom and loose combination. In the meantime, the internationalization ideology and management style of the university influences the academic department′s internationalization, and they are mutual and interactive. The authoritative system and insufficient power of the department limit the department′s internationalization. The difficulties include the tension between the authority system and effective governance, the contradiction between administrative management and academic management and the conflict between administrative culture and academic culture. The promotion of academic departments′ internationalization needs to expand departments′ power and respect the discipline difference, to increase resource investment and innovate the management and evaluation style, and to stress the ideology of internationalization and create the new organizational culture of the academic department.
