Abstract:“Silk Road Economic Belt” is a new kind of regional cooperation mode based on the concept of the ancient silk road and its a new national open strategy proposed by Chinese government. The aim is to build “the community of interests, the community of destiny and the community of responsibility with political mutual trust, economic integration, cultural inclusive”. As one of the active participators, Georgia lays emphasis on the allround, multilevel communication and cooperation in the field of politics, economy and culture with China. Higher education is the key part of the culture communication and interaction and will play the role of bridge to build the “Silk Road Economic Belt”. In the future, the two country could strength the communication function of Confucius Institute and probe new cooperation ways including student exchange, scholars exchange, science research cooperation and holding international academic forums. Intellectual and talent support of regional economic development could be got through these ways.
