Abstract: Enhancing the effectiveness of the mainstream ideology education and improving its recognition among college students are an important theoretical and practical issue. At present, the mainstream ideology education has such drawbacks as dull content, outdated teaching methods and unequal educational relationships. In order to construct the model of the mainstream ideology education, we should change the educational content from the political discourse to the cultural and life discourse, the teaching methods from monologue to dialogue and the educational relationship from “IIt” to “IYou”.
