Abstract:With the development of a new round of industrial revolution, the traditional engineering talent cultivation modes in China have been unable to meet the needs of industry and society. The concept of emerging engineering came into being. Although the construction of emerging engineering has made great achievements in recent years, from the perspective of knowledge management, the cultivation modes of emerging engineering talents are still confronted with some problems, for example, the enterprise participation of industryuniversityresearch collaborative education is limited, situational case teaching lacks, the interdisciplinary cultivation mode of emerging engineering talents is not perfect and the content of engineering education is short of advancement and practicality. These problems will hinder the acquisition, transfer and integration of explicit and tacit knowledge during the process of talent cultivation, and hamper the promotion of emerging engineering talents′ practical ability and innovation ability. Based on the mutual transformation between explicit and tacit knowledge of the SECI model, this paper puts forward optimal ways of China′s emerging engineering talent cultivation modes from four stages of knowledge transformation. They can help to discover tacit knowledge of engineering to a maximum degree and promote emerging engineering talents′ explicit and tacit knowledge transformation with high efficiency, so as to raise the cultivation quality of the emerging engineering talents.
