Abstract:Lexical meaning has two dramatically different forms: objective form and subjective form. The so-called scientific meaning and popular meaning are in essence two subjective forms of lexical meaning. The deepening of lexical meaning is in effect a phenomenon only found in subjective forms, and is improper to be used to describe the development and evolution of lexieal meaning--the evolution of objective forms of lexieal meaning. The definition of lexical meaning targets at the objective form rather than the subjective form, so should the analysis of lexieal meaning.
