Abstract Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a kind of common arrhythmia associated with increased risks of stroke, heart failure and cardiovascular death, which is seriously endangering human health. Cardiac rehabilitation has little been applied in the treatment of AF at present, although it is recommended in the comprehensive treatment of coronary heart disease, heart failure and other chronic heart diseases for its efficacy in improving patients exercise capacity, quality of life and prognosis. This article systematically reviews the roles of cardiac rehabilitation among AF patients and the latest research progress.
