Abstract:Compared with rational discussion, educational criticism is an inefficient kind of communication,which can easily hurt the feelings of those criticized and may not contribute to the solution to the problem. The most common educational criticism either has problems in its hypothesis or is fuzzy on the causes of the problem. However, educational criticism is bound to exist. It is impossible to evade its existence or to change it into rational educational discussion without any shortcomings. Actually, there is sure to be some problems with the criticism, those who criticize and are criticized. Therefore, we should not idealize education. Besides, we should make a distinction between public and professional issues in education so as to reduce the drawbacks of educational criticism.
