Abstract:The professional development school for teachers is a product of the institutionalization of teacher training cooperation between universities and elementary/high schools in America. Employing the theory of community, the present article explores three institutional ways of building such a community including its management, normalization and recognition with a view to showing an institutional path for the construction of a cooperative teacher training community.
