Abstract Based on the compression molding process of annular mould briquetting machine of 9JYK-2000A,scheme design and result analysis of the optimal experiment were realized for calorific value of rice straw briquetting.The quadratic orthogonal rotation combination experiment was designed with spindle speed, molding temperature and moisture content as influence factors, and the low calorific value of rice straw briquette press was used as test index. According to the experimental results, the quantitative mo-del was established to analyze the relationship between forming factors of annular mould briquetting machine and low calorific value of rice straw briquette.The model was verified by experiment with error range less than 5% to show that the quantitative model could be used for subsequent optimization.Combined with regression analysis method and response surface analysis in the software of Design-Expert 8.0.6,the data was analyzed and optimized.The experimental results show that the influencing sequence of forming factors of annular mould briquetting machine on the low calorific value of rice straw briquetting is followed by spindle speed, molding temperature and moisture content. The optimal indicators for for-ming process are obtained with spindle speed of 175 r?min-1, temperature of 138 ℃and moisture content of 14.33% to achieve the best low calorific value of 11 711 kJ.
