Process analysis of double droplets hitting wall vertically

Abstract:Based on VOF method, the vertical collision process on a wall of two heptane droplets in porous media was simulated.The effects of Weber number, Reynold number, wall size and center distance of two droplets on the collision process were investigated. The dynamic characteristics of droplets collision, fusion, spreading and breaking were analyzed. Height changes of crown space film and wall membrane were obtained by changing parameters. The results show that the number of secondary droplets and the height of crown space film increase with the increasing of Weber number, Reynold number and d0/H, and also increase with the decreasing of d0/s. The height of wall membrane can be affected to some extent by changing parameters.
