Abstract Objective: To investigate the associations between MnSOD gene polymorphisms and the susceptibility of antituberculosis druginduced liver injury (ATLI) in Changshu. Methods: Based on the patients who accepted antituberculosis treatment in Changshu, a matched casecontrol study were conducted. Each ATLI case was 1 ∶2 matched with controls by age, gender and treatment history. Two SNPs (rs4880 and rs5746136) of MnSOD gene were genotyped by TaqMan assay. Conditional Logistic analyses were used to analysis the associations between these two SNPs and ATLI. Results: Fifty ATLI cases and 100 nonATLI controls were included in this study. No significant difference was observed in genotypes or allele frequencies of the two SNPs between case group and control group after adjusting weight and using hepatic protector. Furthermore, there were no association between the two SNPs genotypes and ATLI in dominant, recessive, add model and haplotype respectively. Conclusion: The polymorphisms of MnSOD gene (rs4880 and rs5746136) were not associated with ATLI in Changshu population.
