Abstract Nowadays competition around the world is increasingly focusing on whether it is possible to train useful talents and how to cultivate them. As an important part of education, postgraduate training is not only related to the wellbeing of individual postgraduates and their families, but also to the fate and future of the nation. Local universities have become an essential part of Chinese postgraduate education with their constantly innovating “Four in One” educational mode. Such a mode consists of four parts: goal management, process regulation, humanities education, and ideological and political education, and in this study its practical value and practice path is explored to better promote the quality of postgraduate talent training.
