Abstract:Objective To analyze the ECG manifestations of each lead of myocardial infarction (MI) model in rats established by injection of isoproterenol (ISO), and to explore the observation leads suitable for this model to judge whether MI has been formed. Methods Twenty rats were injected with ISO subcutaneously, and then were given the drug again after 24 hours. ECGs of limb and chest leads were recorded every 24 hours, while the deviation value of Jpoint of each lead except that of lead aVR was measured, and compared with those before and after administration. After 48 hours, the rats were killed, and their hearts were obtained for pathological examination. ResultsOn the 2nd day before medication, the elevation of Jpoint in lead V2 was more obvious than that in leads Ⅱ, Ⅲ and aVF (P<0.01), and there was no statistical difference of the value in pairwise comparison of leads Ⅱ, Ⅲ and aVF (P>0.05). ConclusionThe infarct areas of MI model in rats established by ISO method are scattered; Jpoint elevation could appear in multiple leads, of which lead V2 is the most obvious. One of the above leads could be selected for observation in the experiment; limb and chest leads could also be monitored synchronously.
