1 Technology evaluation of single-stage and single-suction rinsing centrifugal pump

The technology development of net positive suction(NPSH) performance indexes about single-stage and single-suction rinsing centrifugal pumps is evaluated.More than 3 000 sample values of performance indexes about vertical and horizontal pumps are collected and compared,and these statistic and neat data are analyzed in detail.Based on these data,it is pointed out that the sample values are inconsistent with measuring ones,performance indexes under low rotating speed are better,and efficiency performance indexes are lower for vertical pumps.centrifugal pump;single-stage and single-suction;efficiency;NPSH

5 Numerical simulation of interior flow and wear character in slurry pumps

13 Improvement design and calculation of the seal for high pressure hot water circulating pump

In this paper,the cause of mechanical seal leakage under the high temperature and pressure is analyzed for high temperature hot water circulating pump under the operating conditions.The tandem two-stage mechanical seal is proposed for the improvement scheme.The detailed design calculations are carried out on the mechanical seal.The structural design of mechanical seal and practical application of 4 000 hours operation of the sealing system are demonstrated.The service life of the mechanical seal for the high pressure hot water circulating pump is improved,and thus good economic benefit is achieved.

16 Numerical simulation of the slurry consistence through the impeller of the slurry pump

The flow structure and the slurry consistence of the particle-liquid two-phase flows through the impeller of the centrifugal slurry pump are studied.By using FLUENT code and the kinetic theory of granular flow,the three-dimensional turbulent particle-liquid two-phase flow through the impeller has been simulated.The calculated results give the distribution of the particle and the flow structure,and help to understand the main region of the abrasion of the impeller and to improve the hydraulic design of the impeller for decreasing the abrasion and increasing the useful life of the pump.Numerical simulations on granule concentration distribution concerning granule diameter of 0.5 mm,1 mm and 2 mm are carried out.From the analysis of the phase volume distribution map of granule,it is shown that the simulated results agree well with the experiments.slurry pump;consistence;impeller;numerical simulation

19 Study on strength checking data model for pump parts

Strength checking of pump parts is necessary in the design of pumps.In order to solve the problem that conventional methods of strength checking are deficient in design precision and efficiency,a software about pump parts strength checking on VC++ 6.0 has been developed with the technique of data reading and treating intelligently.The software includes several modules that are independent in structure but common in parameters.The main operand of pump parts strength checking is all kinds of data during the course of strength checking.Data models that are logical and can operate reliably are established based on overall analysis about these data.The implementation methods of the data models and the method which uses ADO to read material data from database files directly are also presented.The real operation indicates that the data models is stable,rational and reliable.pumps;strength checking;data models;interface of ADO;Visual C++

23 Strength calculation for plastic pump impeller

26 Study on anti-cavitation of shielded pumps

30 Special software development in selecting hydraulic model of axial flow pump

45 Experimental study on particle diameter distributions in the electrostatic pressure-swirl nozzle

49 Diagnosing the running condition of pump by its vibration character

Axial thrust and radial force will increase at off-design condition,which can be explained by a modulus defined specially.The blades of impeller and the tongue of casing are treated as fluid obstacles.The emission frequency of the Karman vortex street occurred in series from the blades and tongue is varing with the running condition.Vibration signals that are acquired by accumulation transducers match with the variation of the conditions.According to the analysis of the vibration signals,the frequency at the point of maximum amplitude is assured to be the passing frequency of blade,and the emission frequency of the Karman vortex street is also abstracted.The running condition is determined finally by the non-dimensional magnitude of the amplitude of the above mentioned emission frequency.process pump;Karman vortex street;running condition;spectrum analyzing

57 Numerical simulation on charged droplets breakup in high velocity gas flow

It is very difficult to do experiment because the process of charged droplet breakup is complex and instantaneous.In this paper,several factors that influence the charged droplet breakup process are analyzed by deducing the ression of Weber,which are gas-liquid relative velocity,gas-liquid parameters and electrostatic field.Then,the breakup process is simulated by choosing VOF multi-phase model,quadrangle grid and SIMPLE method.The simulation of droplet breakup shows breakup model may be bag breakup,shear breakup or explosion breakup.For low viscosity liquid,the Weber number can be the main criterion of breakup model.With the same parameter,charged droplet is easier to breakup than uncharged droplet,because the Weber number of charged droplet is larger.droplet breakup;high velocity gas flow;electrostatic

61 Experimental study on membrance aeration bioreactor

In order to culture the cell of the microbe and flora or fauna, under the environment of rich nutrition,high density,rich dissolved oxygen,and high viscosity,a new membrane aeration bioreactor is developed.The key part is the distribution of membrane aeration bioreactor.The flow characteristic,pressure reduction,air-contained rate for the reactor which assembled many kinds of air distribution are studied,the best air distribution is chosen.The result indicate that this kind of membrane bioreactors can generate homogeneous air bubble,have high rate of oxygen supply,have good nature of blending and have no mechanical shear damage on mediator.Compared to mechanical string membrane bioreactor,the reactor can save about half of electric energy and can be widely used in medium and small-sized reactor.bioreactor;membrane;admixture;air rate;energy save
