1 Analysis of Comprehensive Influence of Geometrical Parameters on Low Specific speed Pump head by using grey theory

The influences of geometrical parameters on low specific pump head should be emphasized on comprehensive influence.The comprehensive influence of geometrical parameters on low specific speed pump head is studied by using grey theory,the influence ordering of these parameters also obtained after a lot of calculation in this paper.The calculating result showed that impeller outlet diameter D2 effects on the head largest of these parameters,vane outlet angle β2 smallest,inlet diameter D1,outlet width b2,vane number Z and vane length ratio R were between them successively.This method had important practical significance for research other project programs.

4 Research on the Performance Forecasting of a Non-overload Double-channel Sewage Pump

In the design on a non-overload double-channel sewage pump,compared to the test results,the performances forecasted by the formula have greater error.Flow analysis indicated that the relative flow angle of an ordinary centrifugal pump impeller almost equaled to the blade outlet angle,and in the double-channel impeller velocity triangle,the relative flow angle is quite different from the blade outlet angle,so using the blade outlet angle to forecast performance was the main reason of causing errors.In this thesis a non-overload performance forecasting method of the double-channel pump was provided: β2 is the blade back outlet angle;when calculating the blade expelling coefficient,blade thickness should be the inner channel one.The testing shows that the method can greatly increase the accuracy of performance forecasting,and the error of the estimated maximum axis power value and its place is much more less than the ordinary method.

7 Improved Design of Non-Overload Super-Low Specific Speed Centrifugal Pump

The reasons of low efficiency,hump and steep brake power curve and overload easily were analyzed for super-low specific speed centrifugal pump,and unreasonable selection of hydraulic design parameters was pointed out.The factors to low efficiency,hump and overload are also analyzed,and the improve measures are explored also.Based on the match relation among the geometric parameters,the problems such as unsteady running,low efficiency and steep power curve were resolved.The pump XCM158 was modified under the study,whose efficiency is increased to 23%;and the brake head is over 32 m,which induced steeper curve of Q-H;and the biggest power occurred on the large flow rate,which meet the requirement of non-overload.All these results prove that evident improve of pump performance can obtained by improved design.

10 Research Progress on Trash Rack and Feculence-clearing for Pump Station

Trash rack of pump station is indispensable for stability and safety of pump assembly though it is an auxiliary facilities.The research progress on hydraulic resistance,vibration,rust-easten and corrosion,and clearing feculence is introduced which appeared during the application of trash rack of pump station.The head loss of trash rack is also analyzed.Based on the characteristics of pump assembly,the influences of hydraulic resistance of trash rack and feculence on pump unit operation are investigated.General situation of rack feculence-clearing equipment at home and abroad is also briefly introduced.The structures and forms of trash rack are analyzed and arched trash rack is put forward.The structure,layout and installation of trash rack should be fully considered according to the peculiarity of flow sewage,and we should improve its property of clearing feculence and stability endurance by the application of new materials and techniques.The way of clearing feculence should take into account the property of management and operation.

16 Analysis of System Reliability for Gate Chambers

Based on the reliability study of structure system and the characteristics of floodgate,the reliability calculation methods for system of the floodgate in use are discussed.Through calculating the system reliability of the gate chamber on soft foundation,its safety degree can be estimated more deeply.The floodgate may be regarded as a series system with four main failures modes including slip along the foundation,compression failure of the floodgate toe in the downstream line,tension crack of the floodgate heel in the upper stream and non-uniform stress distributions.Through the project example,the limit state equation of the floodgate was established,the failure probability and reliability index are obtained by the method of Monte-carlo.And system reliability and failure probability were calculated by common method.The results show that the four failure modes were ranked from highest to lowest effect: slip along the foundation,non-uniform distributions of stress,tension crack of the floodgate heel in the upper stream and compression failure of the floodgate toe in the downstream line.Besides,some relevant measures can be taken to raise the stability of the floodgate.The random property of some variables are affected the reliability index of the failure mode,for instance,the main influencing factors to stability are friction factor and angle of internal friction of foundation,and the non-uniform distributions of stress is affected by the upstream and downstream water levels.

20 Research of Boiler Feeding Water Pump′s Optimize Function in Combusting Coal Plant Adjusting Peak Set

The transformation run of big capacity adjusting peak set is the important trend of combusting coal plant in recent years.The merit and feasibility of optimium run to boiler set in combusting coal plant,and the influence of transformation run to boiler set and feeding water pump were analyzed particularly,and the comparison was done between them and traditional steady pressure throttle preparing stream mode;adjusting pressure range and optimized running mode was deduced for feeding water pump transformation running mode applied in combusting coal plant adjusting peak set.The mode takes into account of the feed water criterion,the efficiency of pump and the disposition of itself all-round,the physics signification of that accords with the practice,and it has important meaning to the saving energy and reducing consumption of adjusting peak set.It is testified that the efficiency of boiler could be increased 3%,and electricity consumption of pump could be saved 30%~60% with the use of transformation run.

26 Modification of Hydraulic Start and Stop Electric Control System in Jianbi Pump Station Gate

The working principles and the main problems of hydraulic start and stop electric control system in Jianbi pump station gate were introduced,and some feature were presented also,such as control mode adopting programmable controller instead of traditional relay combined with button,gate opening sensor using rubber weighted encoder disk instead of wire rope encoder disk,direct current operational power supply by universal motor,and function switch adopted,which modified the control system.And based on the experience,design,construct,and operation were improved,which make operation simply and run reliable.

31 Analysis of Vibration in Vertical Asynchronous Motor in Circulating Supply-Water Pump Station

Aiming at the problem of vibration in vertical asynchronous motor in circulating supply-water pump station,which set in the Second Electrical Power Company Limited of Yangzhou,some reason are analyzed,such as installation,inspection and manufacture.The conclusion is obtained that the vibration is electromagnetic vibration by spectrum analysis.The vibration is fade to 0.01mm by adding 3 equalizing cable on the stator coil.

33 Failure Inspection and Analysis for Diaphragm Pump

The ABEL diaphragm pumps HMD-G-32-0250 is one of the key equipments in the Chamber Filter Press Sludge Dewatering System.A modern control technology was used to analyze the reason for easy broken.The result showed that the pump rotary speed was too fast,which caused by a bug in the PLC program,may damage the pump.In the old version of the PLC program,when the outlet pressure of the diaphragm pumps attained and maintained 1.0-1.3 MPa,the outlet frequency of the frequency transfer vibrated around 40Hz.In the revised version,while the outlet pressure of pumps increases from 0.75 MPa to 1.4 MPa,the outlet frequency of the transfer decreases linearly from 80 Hz to 8 Hz,until stop.After the PLC program was revised,the pumps run well,and the vibration of the pumps and pipes are eliminated.

35 Design Layout of Micro Sprinkling Irrigation System for Dry Contoured Land

In order to save water and promote the application of sprinkling irrigation,the technique was applied in dry contoured land more and more.Combining with the real application in Maoming Mingge fruit garden,the design method was discussed,which result in good irrigation,effective water saving and increasing the output and quality of litchi.

39 Discussion of FRP Pipe Application in JiaoDong Water Transfer Project

The work of material selection of outlet pipe for Xin-Zhuang pump-station was presented.The superiority of FRP sonim pipe and its structural calculation was introduced;and the calculating methods and course was explored also,including the surge pressure,allowable deflection,predicted bending value,combined load and bending load.The results indicate that the use of fibreglasses yields pipeline with diameter of 1.8 m,can meet the need of the project.

43 The Control Manner and Achieving Method of Motor Experiment Platform

To control he ounce asynchronous motor,a new experiment craft and method was introduced.The device of arithmetic silicon control was adopted,and a set of DC-alternator motor was equipped as experiments power supply,which regulate the electric voltage and frequency.Experiment of loading and temperature rise test were done under direct current generator;The control of the equipments was realized in controls alone with concentrate alternant way;The experiment data collects was done automatically by voltmeter changes;The frequency of power supply was modulated by the A/D and D/A conversion plank and homologous calculator procedures.The experiment result verified the feasibility of the rig control method,with the measure error less than 0.3%.

46 Online Detection and Operational Analysis of Pump Characteristic in Sewage Pumping Station

By using the field pipeline,the hydraulic characteristics of the No.6 pump is measured,which is set in Zhenjiang Jiangbin pumping station.The operation condition of this station is analyzed,when one pump or two pumps run at full speed,the flow rate deviate from the design one by nearly 1.4 and 1.2 times,and the real NPSH was lower than the critical one,which result in cavitation in pump;and the water head is higher than needed,which cause energy waste.Four improvements were proposed based on the results.

50 Common Mistakes in Pump performance Tests

In the course of pump performance tests,some mistakes occur often,including inaccurate measure of the base level,incorrect operation in cavitations test,wrong selection for the pressure measure meter and suction pipes,leakage or containing air within flow meters,bad data processing etc.Aiming at these problems,some solution and attention were put forward.Finally,an advice was pointed out,the work of pump test involves much professional knowledge,they should be handled seriously.
