1 The Present Status and Development of Self-priming Pump

Self-priming pumps are widely used in sprinkler irrigation and fire protection business. Its recent research achievements were summarized and analyzed, including the building of mathematical models and maximum priming lift, the analysis of self-priming performance influencing factors, the discussion of size and position of return-flow hole as well as the separation tongue gap, the volume of water pre-stored and air- liquid separated chamber inside the pump, the influencing mechanism of shaft sealing and suction line’s leak tightness along with the pipe length under liquid and the volume of suction line on self-priming performance. Some key issues for further research of self-priming pump are discussed as well.

6 Solving on Momentum Thickness for Cylinder Impeller

The reynolds equation is given and the relevant quantities are analyzed. By type factors and transitional momentum integral equation, the approximate expression of momentum thickness is presented as well. The wake laws are applied to deduce relative expressions of turbulent boundary layer thickness; the expressions are regarded as the auxiliary relational expressions to solve momentum thickness. A method is presented that by boundary layer thickness coefficient k δ and momentum thickness δ 2 the fluid calculation without centrifugal force approaches the fluid calculation with centrifugal force gradually. These will be the basiso f further analysis oft hel ow-specific-speed centrifugalp ump.

11 Simulation of the Impeller Based on Boundary Layer Theory

The 3-D semulation model of a impeller that based on the blade type line equation derived from boundary layer theory has been set up with pro/E. This model offers one design method to the solid-liquid two-phase flow centrifugal pump, using the clan form of pro/E, so long as inputting impeller’sb asicp arameters which can easily form the impeller model. Thus there is certain reference value to industrial production.

14 Numerical Simulation of 3D Turbulent Flow in the Centrifugal Pump with Twisted-blade

According to peculiarities of the geometry of the centrifugal pump impeller and its inner flow field, method for the grid generation impeller’s passage and the governing equations for calculation of flow field are briefly represented. Based on RANS Equation, SIMPLEC algorithm, the RNG κ - ε model and wall function, the 3-D turbulent flow in the impeller is studied. Results show that the distorted blade profile of centrifugal pump can exert much influence on pressure distribution, velocity distribution and pump抯 performance. This method can be use to improve level of optimization design for the centrifugal pump and check its internalf lowf ield condition.

17 Study on Method for Model Test of Flow Pattern in Suction Box of Pumping Station

A special system of model test for flow pattern in a suction box of pumping station was designed, and a new method is put forward to carry out the model test for verifying a vertices band in suction box without relative model pump. Examples of model test applying the new method to verify vertices band in both “half elbow” suctionb oxa nd “bell-like” two-way suction box are illustrated respectively. Based on the two examples the advantages of the new method are summarized.

20 Scheme Research of Dust Barrier and Cleanup in Large Pump Station

The often used mode of dust barrier and cleanup are introduced here.Combined with the concrete facts of Jianbi pump station, the structure design and arrangement mode of oblique trash rack and grab dredger are given. By comparison the conclusion can be drawn, the later is of more applicability with lower cost, easy construction and maintenance, better reliability to be used in pump station with more trash.

27 Performances of Experiments Impellers Trimmed with Different Outlet Angles of Blade for a Centrifugal Oil Pump While Pumping Water

The results show that the flow rates at best efficiency points reduce as the impellers are trimmed, the maximum efficiency of pump raises while the impeller diameter firstly trimmed to 205mm, and the larger the outlet angle of blade is, the greater the increase in the efficiency gets. 32 Silt of Yellow River Separating Based on Drip Irrigation

Aimed at the problem of silt separation of Yellow River’s water for agricultural drop irrigation. The major characteristics of silt in Yellow River and the applying of Hydrocyclone separation technique for silt separation are introduced. The key constructional parameters of Hydrocyclone are calculated by Rietema formula. And critical separation size d ep is checked based on the theory of Bredley equilibrium orbit. 42 Design the Constant Pressure Water Supply System by Frequency Control

The structure and work principle of isobarically water supply system based on PC frequency control is introduced. This system can automatically adjust water pump motor’s rotation speed to keep water supply pressure constant and reduce power loss. In allusion to specific method of using MSComm6.0 function carries out between PC and SIMATIC S7-300 PLC serial communication at pumping station’s scout system and gives a method of communication program by VC++. It keeps water supply pipe network constant pressure and makes water supply system keep in a perfect state for energy saving.

46 Improvement of Relayed Drainage System of Large Scale Mine Submerge Motor Pump
