Abstract Combined on the system design of Zhangbang river pumping station and gates in Qingpu Shanghai, the new idea about design plan of automatic control system is offered. The plan that can be used in micromidi pumping stations has the characteristics of simple structure, operating reliabty and high cost performance ratio. The operating practice of the pumping station and gates makes clear that the system design requirements can be met entirely and it will be anle to opoularized well in the field of the micromidi pumping stations.
