Abstract Teh reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equation has been solved with standard model.The three-dimensional flow model and its boundary in the inflow conduit with the numerical simulation of the flow of pumping station are established.The flow control equation is dispersed with the finite volume method by using SIMPLIC algorithm.Velocity distributions are indicated,and then the flow pattern of three work conditions in the inflow conduits of Hunan Sujiayue Pumping Station can be analyzed.The results are in fair agreement with actual operational data of the inflow conduit structure and vortices in pumping station.It can reduce the investment that the physics experiment bring.The result of the study open out the essence of the inner flow in the inflow conduits availably and can offer helpful conclusion and the suggestion for the actual project.
