Abstract In order to solve the overload problem of the electric motor of the muddy water source pumping station, the determinative factors that affect the match power of the electric motor was analyzed, and the correction value of the reserve factor of the electric motor is presented. This was verified in Shanxi Jamakou water resource pumping station , and it has some referential value to the construction and reconstruction of the sediment-laden water source pumping station.
