Abstract:A method based on numerical computations of the turbulence flow isapplied to analyze the flow field of the elbow tube of pump suction. An optimumscheme was designed. A good agreement was achieved between the calculation data andthe result of model test. The named height of elbow tube of Jiangdu No.3 PumpingStation reaches the critical value. Through optimum numerical design, the pumpingstation could works efficiently with high stability.
