In order to study the influence of splitter blade’s parameters on the centrifugal pump performance,a L9(34) orthogonal experiment was designed with four factors and three values.These factors were bias angle β in peripheral direction,deflection angle,inlet diameter and numbers Z of splitter blades.The numerical calculations and performance tests were carried out on each impeller,and the influence laws of splitter blades parameter on the centrifugal pump performance were analyzed in detail.The results show that the primary factors for the head and efficiency are blade numbers Z and inlet diameter D′,and that the best combination of parameters for performance is β=0.60 θ,D′ ≈2/3D2,α=-5°～-10° and Z values as high as possible.Comparing with the results of the performance test and the numerical simulation,it was confirmed that the numerical simulation method was reliable and valid,and can offer some useful references for hydraulic performance and the optimization design of low specific speed centrifugal pump.
