Abstract:In order to obtain the flow structure in high efficiency axial-flow pump impeller,the measurement device was designed.Five-hole spherical probe was used to measure the velocity at inlet and outlet of axial-flow impeller at the conditions of 0.8Qopt,1.0Qopt and 1.2Qopt.The distributions of velocity vector,static pressure and total pressure were measured.Meridional velocity,circulation and velocity in circumferential direction were analyzed.Measurement results show that the flow in axial-flow pump inlet is steady at the conditions of 0.8Qopt~1.2Qopt,axial velocity decreases gradually from hub to tip,the prerotation is very small,and the static pressure distribution is almost uniform in radial direction at design condition.At optimal condition,there is an almost consistent circulation flow pattern at the outlet of axial-flow impeller without hub leakage.Meridional velocity,circulation,pressure and efficiency all decrease near hub clearance if hub leakage exists.The measured data provides the basis for the further research on flow characters of high-efficiency axial-flow pump.
