Numerical simulation on pressure pulsation characteristic of nuclear coolant pump by different numerical methods

In order to study the influence of the key settings in the pump pressure pulsation numerical simulation, the full-flow hydraulic model including the seal ring gap was numerically calculated under different time steps and different boundary conditions. Firstly, the steady state performance of the pump was analyzed. The internal flow field information of the pump under different working conditions was obtained and analyzed. Secondly, for the pressure pulsation calculation, three different time steps(the duration of the 0.5? 1?and 2?rotation of the impeller)were used for analysis, and when the time steps taken are small, it has a certain influence on the pressure pulsation time domain signal, but its frequency domain signal is basically the same. Finally, different boundary combination conditions were selected to study the results of pressure pulsation prediction. Among them, inlet total pressure, outlet flow boundary; inlet flow, outlet pressure boundary were selected. In addition the pump inlet and outlet were not separately set boundaries, namely a fluid domain connected to the inlet and outlet is used, which was called closed loop calculation model. Compared with the first two boundary conditions, the pressure pulsation signal predicted by the closed loop boundary condition is more regular, and the pressure pulsation amplitude increases significantly.
