Abstract:The geometric dimensions,load,stress and fatigue limit are taken as random variables to establish the pump shaft model.The 3D solid model is established by Pro/E software and imported into ANSYS to make the static stress analysis.The probability analysis files are created and the reliability of pump shaft with PDS module is calculated by Monte Carlo simulation technique.The method can obtain higher precision of failure probability of the pump shaft than the traditional design.A reliability assessment for the DLY25—270/9—37 to the model of vertical multi-stage pump shaft is demonstrated as a numerical example.The reliability of the pump shaft is 99.87% in the confidence level of 95%.It shows that the method is feasible and has important application values.
