Abstract The historical practice has proved that the integration of Party building (the Communist Party of China, CPC) into the managerial system of colleges and universities plays a fundamental role in the construction of China′s socialist higher education system. The initiative also provides a guarantee in directing university development healthily. For a long time, Party building has broken new ground, provided new strategies and generated new forces for the modernization of higher education governance in China, blazed a new path of higher education governance with Chinese characteristics, and become the core component of the modernization of college and university governance. In the future, Party building leads to the modernization of higher education by using, managing and cultivating people in a correct position. This ensures the correct directions of higher education governance and enables effective rules and incorruptibility atmosphere.
