| From demonstration to highquality construction:reflection and prospect on the development mode of higher vocational colleges in China |

Abstract When the reform of higher vocational education has entered into the critical stage of connotation promotion, the pursuit for refinement development gradually becomes a new trend， and the highquality construction of higher vocational colleges is put on the agenda. Reflection on the experience and lessons of the construction of demonstration higher vocational colleges is helpful to further clarify the direction for the highquality construction of higher vocational colleges. The core framework should stick to the initial intention of construction and establish the performanceevaluation oriented funding mechanism; optimize the criteria of project acceptance and design the index system focusing on software construction; set the clear goal of talent cultivation and carry out the studentcentered cultivation concept; build the multiple management structure and build the operating mode run by the famous teacher team; strengthen the deep cooperation among different colleges and develop the cooperation network based on the school running by group.
